I never grew up going to the beach. Growing up in Montana, my idea of a vacation was going east or west on I-90. :) When I married my Oregon hubby he introduced me to annual spring break trips to the Oregon Coast. Needless to say, it was love a first sight. How awesome is it that you can just jump in your car, drive a couple hours and hear the ocean?! {LOVE}. On our drive over I was thinking about all of our coast trips and came to the conclusion that in little Loke's life, he hasn't missed a spring break trip to the Oregon coast yet!! Lucky duck. Our trips always include an awesome beach house that is shared with family (even the fur babies) a close walk to the beach, WAY too much junk food and March Madness. It is quiet honestly my favorite little get-a-way of the year. Here is a little peak into our beach vacation. Enjoy! xo

Beautiful house...handsome hubby (what more could a girl want?!)

and Loke's off...

 Papa teaching Loke the ways of sand castle making. Too bad he would get it just perfect and Loke would smash it immediately with his stick. The life of a boy...
 I have been blessed with the best in-laws EVER!
Britt and I tested out the water and judging by Britt's face it was a little chilly.
The next day we headed out to Newport Beach. We stopped to eat at our FAVORITE little clam chowder spot to snag some yummy lunch (which consisted of James being adventurous and trying oysters). Needless to say lunch was fantastic and James absolutely hated the oysters! Hilarious.

 Our best attempt at a family picture...thanks Nana :)
Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing, family filled weekend Oregon Coast. Until next time...

Oh my goodness, the cuteness overload is really too much to handle!! Loke and Awbrey met for their annual Valentine’s Day date last weekend and made sugar cookies together.  I remember last year they could barely walk around together and now they look so grown up. (Tear) They laughed, giggled and loved every minute of getting their hands full of flour and frosting. At one point Loke leaned over to Awbrey and said “I uuv you”. It melted my heart instantly. When they grow up they will either thank us for capturing these moments of them so young and in love or roll their eyes in disgust at how lame we were for making them do all these activities. Either way I’m fine with it…it is really too cute to pass up J

The best part of the date was when the world’s most eligible bachelor woke up from his nap! Wee little Charlie can’t wait to join in on the fun next year.  Ohh…that little man has me wrapped around his finger!! Happy Valentine’s Day friends! Enjoy. xo

Happy Valentines Day!

November is the month where we all take a step back and focus on whats important, what we are thankful for. No other image comes to mind then that of my boys on a trip to the beach. To me, this image captures pure joy and I am forever thankful I was chosen to be the wife to an amazing man and a mother to a wonderful little boy.

What ________ Looks Like {Bend, Oregon}

Together with five other Oregon photographers we continue our lifestyle blogging project entitled What ___________ looks like.  This idea was inspired by a group of fabulous Montana photographers! Our simple goal is to capture our own life and families.  Each month we decide to fill in the blank with our own word or concepts. We will each blog hop to the next photographers blog until our circle is complete.  I hope you take the wonderful journey and enjoy this peek into each of our lives. Please feel free to join in anytime...just leave your blog link below!    Xo

Oh, how I love fall! Taking my boy to the Central Oregon Pumpkin Patch was the highlight of the season thus far. He would run around every corner and yelling "BIG pumpkin!" or "wittie pumpkin!" This adventure is just another reason fall is my favorite. :)

One of my favorite activities to do during the summer is make my way to Northwest Crossing's Farmer's Market. I just love all the smells, sounds and colors!! I had so much fun photographing all of the delicious food and even treated myself buy buying a few of the treats I found along the way. Enjoy!
